Summary[edit]

Description 7 West 19th Street between Fifth Avenue and the Avenue of the Americas (Sixth Avenue) in the Flatiron District of Manhattan, New York City was built as a dwelling in 1850 in the Italinate style. In 1892, there was a fire in the building, and it was used afterwards by Congregation Shearith Israel, who repaired the fire damage and made alterations to the structure. Other alterations were made more recently. The building is located within the Ladies' Mile Historic District. (Source: NYCLPC Ladies' Mile Histroic District Designation Report vol. 2)
