Description
English: Reproduction (replica) of SS-Sportteeken of the Nederlandsche SS/Germaansche SS in Nederland (German: Sport-Abzeichen, Niederländische SS), Dutch SS Sport Badge, a sports medal of foreign volunteers in the Schutzstaffel (SS) of Nazi Germany.

The Dutch SS sports badges were first awarded to Dutch SS men at the SS school Avegoor, in Ellecom, Nazi-occupied Holland, beginning in the summer of 1942. It was awarded in three grades, based upon the age of the recepient, bronze for men between ages 20 and 29, silver for men aged 30–42, and gold for men over the age of 42. With the upright sword the badge becomes a 'Sports Decoration' (Sportseerteeken) to recognize any particular outstanding achievement in sports by a member of the Dutch SS.
