Summary[edit]

Description
English: Photo taken by Armémuseum, the Swedish Army Museum in Stockholm, Sweden, of item no. AM.086954 from the collections of the museum. Cropped version of an image file copied from the online presentation at DigitaltMuseum.org and published under the CC BY 4.0-license (Attribution 4.0 International):
  • Reproduction (replica) of a Luftwaffe version of the Panzer Badge 100 armoured actions/engagements (also called Tank Battle Badge, Panzer Assault Badge and Armour Combat Badge, German: Panzerkampfabzeichen der Luftwaffe mit Einsatzzahl 100), a World War II Third Reich military decoration of the Wehrmact Luftwaffe, the air force of Nazi Germany.
    • Luftwaffe ground troops were eligible for the Tank Badge from its creation. n November 1944 a special Luftwaffe version was approved, with the same award criteria as the existing badge, including the special awards for 25, 50, 75 and 100 engagements. The design followed the earlier badge, but with the Luftwaffe eagle and swastika replacing the folded-wing Wehrmacht Heer eagle. While awards of the new badge were authorized, and award certificates issued, there is no evidence that it was actually presented before the end of the Second World War.
