Title
ANGLO-SAXON CRUCIFORM BROOCH FRAGMENT
Description
English: Copper alloy foot and bow from a cruciform brooch. The bow is faceted. The terminal is in the form of a beasts head, however wear and sporadic patches of corrosion have blurred the details of the eyes and ears. The snout is shovel shaped. There is a small catchplate on the reverse spanning the length of the flat panel between the bow and the zoomorphic terminal.
