Description

La Comisión de Género de la Asociación de la Prensa Uruguaya (APU) convocó a las trabajadoras y los trabajadores de la comunicación a concentrarse y movilizarse contra la brecha salarial, la discriminación sexual y el techo de cristal. También contra la precariedad laboral y el acoso moral y sexual y por un periodismo que visibilice a las mujeres como sujetos de información.

"Falta perspectiva de género en la información", dijo Soledad Bauzá, representante de la Comisión de Género y enfatizó que la lucha es por los derechos humanos. "Porque hay desamparo en nuestros derechos como mujeres y porque queremos espacios laborales de dignidad, es que nos movilizamos; para construir y deconstruir".

Desde el sindicato informaron que recibieron denuncias de algunas compañeras por actitudes empresariales frente a la voluntad de detener sus tareas durante 24 horas. En ese sentido, desde APU explicaron que respaldan a las trabajadoras que adhieran a esa medida para que no sufran ningún tipo de represalia.

La Comisión de Género de APU funciona desde 2012 y como tal ha impulsado la participación de trabajadoras y trabajadores de los medios de comunicación, en las distintas marchas por 8M.
