Deutsch: Verleihung des Gemeindewappens und Genehmigung der vom Gemeinderat am 24. November 1978 festgesetzten Gemeindefarben durch Beschluss der oberösterreichischen Landesregierung vom 18. Juni 1979.
Object history
Deutsch: Das Wappentier verweist auf das 1825 erloschene Geschlecht der Hackledter, die vom Ende des 14. Jahrhunderts bis 1814 hier ihren Edelsitz, nach dem sie sich nannten, bewohnten. Mit Diplom vom 7. Oktober 1739 wurde das Geschlecht vom Kurfürsten Karl Albrecht in den bayerischen Freiherrenstand, nach der Erwerbung des Innviertels 1787 durch Kaiser Joseph II. in den Reichsfreiherrenstand erhoben.
