Title
AWL
Description
English: Flint awl made on a flake, roughly trapezoid in plan and lozenge shaped in profile. The right margin is snapped and the left margin is sharp edged. The distal end consists of non-beach cortex of which the top half is lighter in tone. The distal edge may also have been retouched. The flint is dark brown in colour and the cortex light and dark beige.

Bond (2004) illustrates a similar example on page 135, Fig. 5.121 which is dated to the Neolithic period.
