Title
AWL
Description
English: The ventral face is hollowed towards the right margin. The dorsal face has retained cortex on its right margin. The point has been retouched, but the tip is broken and weathered. It is impossible to decide which is the proximal or distal end as the ventral and dorsal faces have been struck in so many places.

The flint is grey in colout with brown cortex. It is probably derived from a local beach pebble by the look of its secondary cortex.

Butler (2005) illustrates a similar piece on Page 169 Fig 71 No 2 which he calls a piercer and dates to the late Neolithic or early Bronze Age.
