From the archives of the most memorable photography trips in this year so far. Sitting on a river / lake bank full of water birds, it was fun taking shots at them while observing their behaviors. I loved every minute of that session. But it is hard to get such opportunities with the heavy rains now. The Brown-headed Gull is an Asian Gull found from the coasts of Pakistan all the way to China. It is also found inlands in some places near large reservoirs like in this case. Mostly seen in flocks, the bird in this picture is in its non-breeding plumage where the head is whitish. The rusty brown color appears on its head in breeding plumage. Many thanks in advance for your views and feedback. Much appreciated. |
