Русский: На данной картине акварелью изображен костюм, который надевали врачи при посещении пациентов, зараженных чумой, в XVII веке. Этот костюм был описан Жаном Жаком Мангетом (1652–1742 гг.) в его работе Traité de la peste ("Трактат о чуме"), которая была опубликована в 1721 году. Верхний халат костюма шился из сафьяна; под него врач надевал нижнюю юбку, брюки и ботинки — эти части противочумного костюма были сделаны из кожи и заправлялись друг в друга. Le costume a été décrit par Jean-Jacques Manget (1652-1742) dans son Traité de La Peste, publié à Genève en 1721. La blouse du costume était faite en cuir du Maroc, sous laquelle étaient portées une jupe, une culotte et des bottes, toutes en cuir et ajustées les unes aux autres. La pièce de nez en forme de long bec d'oiseau était empli de substances aromatiques et les orbites étaient recouverts de verre. La peste est une maladie infectieuse, causée par une bactérie, qui a ravagé une grande partie de l'Europe au cours des 14ème et 17ème siècles.

The costume was described by Jean Jacques Manget (1652-1742) in his Traité de la peste (Treatise on the plague), published in Geneva in 1721. The costume’s gown was made of morocco leather, underneath which was worn a skirt, breeches, and boots, all of leather and fitting into one another. The long beak-like nose piece was fitted with aromatic substances and the eyeholes were covered with glass. The plague is an infectious disease, caused by bacteria, which ravaged large parts of Europe in the 14th and the 17th centuries.

O traje possuía um jaleco de couro marroquino, embaixo do qual se vestia uma saia, calças e botas, todas de couro, e que se encaixavam uma na outra. A peça que cobria o nariz, uma espécie de bico comprido, era equipada com substâncias aromáticas, e os olhos eram cobertos com vidro. A peste é uma doença infecciosa, causada por bactéria, que devastou grande parte da Europa nos séculos XIV e XVII.

El traje estaba realizado en cuero marroquí, debajo se usaba una camisa, pantalones y botas, todo de cuero y uno sobre el otro. La larga nariz tipo pico tenía sustancias aromáticas y los ojos estaban cubiertos con vidrio. La peste es una enfermedad contagiosa, causada por una bacteria, que saqueó amplias zonas de Europa en los siglos XIV y XVII.
