English: A bent silver short cross penny, AD 1180-1247, uncertain class, mint and moneyer. Obverse: Crowned bust facing with sceptre, inscription illegible. Reverse: Short cross voided with quatrefoil in each angle, inscription illegible. It measures 16.5mm in diameter and weighs 0.52g. North, J. J. 1980. English Hammered Coinage, Volume 1: Early Anglo-Saxon to Henry III c.600-1272, pages 178-181.
