| Description |
English: Opening of the Wellsford ladies' rest room and Plunket room. An elderly man, possibly John Alfred Shepherd, is standing at the entrance of the building, and is possibly presenting a speech. There is a crowd of people seated in front of the building. The people are dressed in formal attire. There is a clock attached to the building. There are two palm trees, on either side the front of the building. "Ladies Rest Room" is visible on the windows to the right hand side of the building. There is a plaque that is attached to the building near the entrance that reads "ERECTED BY THE RESIDENTS OF THE DISTRICT AND DEDICATED TO THE PIONEERS 1938". |
