Title
A flint arrowhead, either barbed and tanged with the tangs broken off or a reworked leaf shaped arrowhead
Description
English: An arrowhead, formed from tertiary flint, that is either barbed and tanged with the barbs having broken off or was originally a leaf shaped arrowhead that has been reworked to have a tang at the middle of the lower edge. The arrowhead is bifacially worked with covering low angle parallel retouch on the ventral side. The other side has long to invasive low angle scaled retouch. The arefact has recorticated although this has been removed at the base of the arrowhead around the tang. It is uncertain whether this is a result of reworking or later depositional damage. Weight is 1.70g, length is 31.4mm, maximum width is 19.7mm, maximum thickness is 3.6mm. Dated early Neolithic to early Bronze Age.
