English: A fragment of a Medieval copper alloy simple oval shaped buckle dating from the mid 14th century. The fragment is from the front D shaped section of the buckle and is decorated with a linear geometric design. Egan and Pritchard's number 263 (page 69)is very similar in shape to the fragment although it has a different design. the fragment is 36.1mm long, 12.6mm wide, 2.3mm thick and weighs 5.0g. |
