English: A silver shilling of Elizabeth I, first issue, 1560-1561. Obverse: Crowned bust left. Inscription reads ELIZABETH D G [AN]G [FRA] ET HIB REGINA. Reverse: Square shield on long cross fourchee dividing the legend. Inscription reads POSUI DEU ADIUTOREM MEU. Initial mark: cross crosslet. It measures 31.42mm in diameter and weighs 6.1g. North, J.
