Description

Zhongfeng, 'wind stroke' refers in Chinese nosology to stroke or cerebral infarction, paralysis of one side of the body being one of its commonest symptoms. In Chinese medicine, the symptoms of stroke are treated with herbal drugs, often in conjunction with acupuncture and moxibustion. In the illustration we see a male patient who is affected on the left side. The acupuncture points used in the treatment of one-sided paralysis due to stroke are marked on his left arm and leg.
