Description

Line drawing in ink and brush style from an anonymous manuscript probably dating from the end of the Qing period (1644-1911).Yinweimai(Yin Tie Vessel) is one of the Eight Extraordinary Channels (Qi jing ba mai). Originating at thezhubin(Guest House) point on the footshaoyinchannel,it runs up the inner part of the thigh. It ascends to the diaphragm and the Adam's Apple, where it comes into confluence withrenmai(the Director Vessel, often translated as Conception Vessel), and thence to thelianquan(Edge Spring) point at the root of the tongue, where it terminates. Acu-moxa locations on this channel includezhubin(Guest House),fushe(Official Lodge),daheng(Great Horizontal),fu'ai(Abdomen Sorrow),qimen(Portal of Times),tiantu(Celestial Prominence) andlianquan(Edge Spring).
