JPEG file comment | Body, mater, double rule, alidade, bail, and ring. Mater and throne formed from 2 sheets of brass laminated together. Throne is shield-shaped with round, empty hole for press-fit compass, now missing. De Roijas projection has 18 named stars. Missing regula and cursor replaced by modern, incorrect, double, counterchanged rule. Rotatable disk in cavity. Incompleted hour scale on disk face. Reverse of disk has earlier attempt at face but has straight hour scale lines. Labeled in Latin. |
