Zu dieser erstmals 1952 auf den Markt gebrachten Isolette schreibt der damalige "Photohelfer" von Porst: Diese glückliche Schöpfung der Agfa-Werke kann man wohl als das Ei des Kolumbus bezeichnen. Sie erfüllt den langgehegten Wunsch aller Freunde des praktischen, wirtschaftlichen 6x6-Formates nach einer Kamera mit Entfernungsmesser zu erschwinglichem Preis. Zu den Vorzügen der von mehreren hunderttausend Photofreunden erprobten Isolette II kommt nun noch der mit dem Sucher einblicksgleiche Entfernungsmesser und der konische Einstellring für die Frontlinse, der ein bequemes Ablesen der eingestellten Entfernung von oben her ermöglicht. Das Arbeiten mit der Isolette III ist denkbar einfach und ein wirkliches Vergnügen. Während das Auge durch den Sucher-Entfernungsmesser blickt, bringt der rechte Zeigefinger durch Drehen des gerändelten Einstellrädchens neben dem Gehäuseauslöser die beiden Meßfelder in Deckung. Schnell ist dann die gemessene Entfernung an der Frontlinse eingestellt und die Kamera schußbereit. Nun gibt es auch dieses Modell mit dem hervorragenden vierlinsigen Agfa Solinar 1:3,5; und das zu einem so günstigen Preis. Der Preis war übrigens 175 DM, was für diese Qualität (beste Linse und bester Verschluss plus Entfernungsmesser) nicht zuviel war. Darüber kam nur noch die Super Isolette mit gekuppeltem Entfernungsmesser (Meßsucher).
