Description

In 1986 a group of Australian Cricket stars visited Victoria University in Wellington to promote the installation of an artificial cricket pitch at Kelburn Park. The stars were Allan Border, Craig McDermott, Bruce Reid and Geoff Marsh. Pictured here is Allan Border keeping wicket and the batsman is Geoff Marsh. Allan Border played 156 tests and 273 ODI’s for Australia. He made his last international appearance in 1994. Geoff Marsh played 50 tests and 117 One Day Internationals for Australia before coaching Australia to victory in the 1999 Cricket World Cup in England. He has two sons, Shaun and Mitchell who are both current Australian International cricket players.
