| Description |
Amanita flavipes group Image location: Eastern Himalayas, Tibetan Provence, China I collected this species on a botanical expedition. Abies and Picea are the genera of conifers that is was collected under. My ability to identify Amanitia species is limited and I’m hoping someone with more knowledge could help steer me in the right direction. [admin – Sun Nov 14 14:13:32 +0000 2010]: Changed location name from ‘Eastern Himalayas, Tibetan Provance, China’ to ‘Eastern Himalayas, Tibetan Provence, China’ Recognized by sight: Younger material has nonstriate margin. Universal veil is friable, pale yellows, and is in fragments around the stipe base. Dr. Yang and his students report that their are differently pigmented taxa clustered into the current concept of Amanita flavipes.
