Description

Amanita morrisii Peck

Image location: Franklin Parker Preserve, Chatsworth, New Jersey, USA

A small and fragile specimen, growing alone on the edge of a trail near Chatsworth Lake.

The cap is 5.0 cm in diameter.

The stipe is 6.5 cm long and is narrowing towards the top, where it’s only 0.5 cm in diameter. The reading just below the middle is 0.7 cm.

The bulb is almost perfectly globose and is 1.2 cm in diameter.

The odor was very pleasant.

The material is saved for RET.
