Українська: Amblyseius (Neoseiulus) californicus (McGregor, 1954) - хижий кліщ, якого застосовують в біологічному контролі павутинних кліщів (Tetranychus urticae C. L. Koch, 1836).
Амблісейуса каліфорнікуса застосовують переважко в теплицях, проте він здатен чудово контролювати шкідників і в умовах відкритого грунту на різних культурах. Найуспішніше даний хижак контролює павутинних кліщів на огірках, перцях та трояндах. Фото зроблене в м.Дніпро на листку троянди. Кліщ має розмір 1-1,2 мм. Зроблено за допомогою макрофотографування фотоапаратом Canon mark 4 та макрооб'єктивом. Таким чином такий маленький кліщ грає величезну роль в оздоровленні нашої планети, а саме, зменшуючи застосування пестицидів у вирощуванні овочів.English: Amblyseius (Neoseiulus) californicus (McGregor, 1954) is a predatory mite used in the biological control of spider mites (Tetranychus urticae C. L. Koch, 1836).
Amblyseius californicus is used mainly in greenhouses, but it is capable of excellent pest control in open ground conditions on various crops. This predator most successfully controls spider mites on cucumbers, peppers and roses. The photo was taken in the city of Dnipro on a rose leaf. The size of the mite is 1-1.2 mm. Taken using macro photography with a Canon mark 4 camera + macro lens.
