Summary

[edit]
Description
English: On October 26, 2005, Amtrak P42DC locomotives hauled the American Orient Express over the Moffat Tunnel Route from Denver Union Station. The passenger train traversed through Leyden and Crescent, Colorado, on its trek west. The Continental Divide can be seen just beyond Crescent siding. Until the recession hit in 2007, the AOE offered luxurious rail tours over various scenic rail lines throughout North America. On the point were Amtrak Genesis diesels, numbers 188 and 163. Finally, Amtrak's westbound California Zephyr entered Tunnel 29 in Pinecliffe, running three hours late, with P42DC units 182 and 76 in the lead.
