English: Amphithyris buckmani Thomson, 1918. Solenosmilia variabilis Duncan, 1873
Amphithyris buckmani Thomson, 1918 attached to a dead piece of stony coral (Solenosmilia variabilis) matrix from 1080 m deep in Tauranga Canyon, Bay of Plenty. Each animal is about 6 mm wide.
