Avenida do Mar e das Comunidades Madeirenses, Funchal, ilha da Madeira.

O Edifício Chorão Ramalho propriedade da centenária João de Freitas Martins (1863-1969), SA, fundada em 1888, é uma obra de referência do Arq. Chorão Ramalho (1914-2002). Datado de 1961, foi edificado logo após a conclusão da obra da Avenida do Mar na gestão da firma do Dr. Fernando de Almeida Couto (1924-2005). No último piso funcionou entre os finais do século XX e os inícios do XXI o Restaurante Caravela, inaugurado a 17 de novembro de 1968, mas como acrescento posterior. Na reabilitação de Rui Campos Matos, 2014-2015, manteve o empedrado comemorativo da abertura do restaurante Caravela, 17 de novembro de 1968.
