[edit]DescriptionAn Army MAN Recovery Truck on show at the Urgent Operational Requirement (UOR) Equipment Demo MOD 45149020.jpg |
English: An Army MAN Recovery Truck on show at the Urgent Operational Requirement (UOR) Equipment Demonstration at Salisbury, Wiltshire.
The family of Support Vehicles built by MAN will, over the next ten years, gradually replace all 4 Tonne, 8 Tonne and 14 Tonne cargo vehicles in the British Army. They will primarily be used in the same roles as the current fleet of cargo vehicles. However, they will provide far greater mobility and have the ability to be fitted with increased armour, dependent on the operational threat at the time. The cab can be fitted with a 7.62 General Purpose Machine Gun.
