Description
English: On the first Sunday in September, Ancona hosts the Festa del Mare (Sea Festival), the highlight of which is the procession of boats of all kinds from the quays of the port out to sea. The photo, taken in 2009, depicts this moment and in particular the boat on which the Archbishop is standing, who is to perform the religious ceremony once the procession has reached the open sea. On the Marina Dorica boat waves a flag with the heraldic knight, the city's coat of arms.
Italiano: La prima domenica di settembre si svolge in Ancona la Festa del Mare, il cui momento più importante è la processione di imbarcazioni di tutti i tipi che si dirige dalle banchine del porto verso il largo. La foto, del 2009, rappresenta questo momento e in particolare la nave sulla quale si trova l'Arcivescovo, che dovrà svolgere la cerimonia religiosa una volta che la processione sarà arrivata al largo. Sulla barca della Marina Dorica sventola una bandiera con il cavaliere araldico, stemma della città.
