Italiano: "Ritratto di Anna Maria d'Orléans duchessa di Savoia e poi regina di Sardegna. Dama.
Una etichetta cartacea della Real Casa di Genova sul retro del dipinto, del 1909, lo interpretava come un ritratto di Maria Luisa di Savoia. Questa errata identificazione è stata perpetuata nei decenni a seguire fino a quando non si è riconosciuta la dama in Anna Maria d'Orléans, figlia dell'unico fratello di Luigi XIV, il duca Filippo di Orléans e di Enrichetta Stuart. Il primo inventario che ricorda la tela è quello del 1877 e dunque pare plausibile che l'opera sia stata trasferita dal Piemonte tra il 1854 (data dell'ultimo registro inventariale che non la ricorda) e il 1877. Letizia Lodi aveva attribuito la tela a Domenico Duprà, attivo con il fratello Giuseppe per la corte dei Savoia, ma l'età di Anna Maria d'Orléans - qui ritratta intorno ai trent'anni d'età - invalida questa possibilità. Luca Leoncini opta per un pittore attivo nell'ambito di Domenico Duprà, senza però individuarlo"
