Description |
Deutsch: Festtagsansicht: Links die Hl. Katharina von Alexandrien, Schutzpatronin der Franziskanern der Katharinenkirche, mit ihren Attributen, dem Rad, dem Schwert und dem Kaiser Maxentius unter ihren Füßen. Im Mittelschrein der Festtagsansicht portraitiert Lukas die Madonna mit Kind. Der Heilige mit der Kappe des Maleramtes und seinem Attribut, dem Stier, hält die Palette in den Händen, der Pinsel ist verloren. Aus kompositorischen Gründen entfiel die Leinwand. Wie häufig wird Katharina zusammen mit der heiligen Barbara im rechten Flügel dargestellt, die mit dem Turm und dem Palmenzweig als Märtyrerattribut dargestellt ist. In der Predella darunter bezeugen vier Kirchenväter den auferstandenen Christus in ihrer Mitte. |
