Title
annularbucklemedieval
Description
English: Cast copper alloy annular buckle with iron pin corroded into place. The frame is 28mm in diameter and 3mm wide. There is a casting line around the outer edge of the frame. The iron pin is 30mm long and is fixed to the frame by a loop around the frame. Corrosion obscures the nature of the loop (i.e., open or closed). The pin is adhering to the frame at the point due to corrosion. Annular buckles of this type are dateable to the 14th century AD.
