Anthaxia salicis belongs to the jewel beetles family (Buprestidae), including more than 15 000 species, often with a shiny metallic color. The length of Anthaxia salicis is 5-8mm, they like light and are extremely thermophilic. They fly, mate and lay eggs only at bright sunlight, they tend to be at well-lit and heated habitats. Beetles occur only for two months, May and June, and most often on the yellow flowers: buttercup (Ranunculus), dandelion (Taraxacum), Doronicum. The larvae develops under the bark of dry deciduous trees, especially on oak, hornbeams, as well as willows and maples. Distribution - Africa, Europe (except northern), Northern Asia (excluding China), North America. Anthaxia salicis is included to the Red List of endangered species in Germany, Category 3 (under threat). Anthaxia salicis - жуки из семейства Златок (Buprestidae), включающего более 15 000 видов, очень часто имеющих блестящую металлическую окраску. Длина 5-8мм, исключительно свето- и теплолюбивы. Они летают, спариваются и откладывают яйца только при ярком солнечном свете, тяготеют к хорошо освещенным и прогреваемым местообитаниям. Жуки встречаются недолго, лишь в течение двух месяцев, май-июнь, и чаще всего на цветах желтого цвета - лютик (Ranunculus), одуванчик (Taraxacum), козульник (Doronicum). Личинки развиваются под корой сухих лиственных деревьев, особенно на дубах, грабах, а также на ивах и кленах. Распространённость - Африка, Европа (кроме Северной), Северная Азия (кроме Китая), Северная Америка. Anthaxia salicis включен в Красный список исчезающих видов в Германии, категория 3 (под угрозой). |
