English: Arms of Decker Baronets: Argent, a demi-buck gules between his forelegs an arrow erected in pale or, confirmed 1716 by Sir John Vanbrugh, Clarenceaux King of Arms, to Sir Matthew Decker, 1st Baronet (d. 1749), of Richmond Green, a merchant and writer on trade who was High Sheriff of Surrey in 1729. These were the arms of his ancestors used in Holland.

CONFIRMATION OF ARMS TO SIR MATHEW DECKER OF THE CITY OF LONDON, 1716. To all and singular to whom these Presents shall come Sr John Vanbrugh Knt. Clarenceux King of Arms, Nominated Garter, and Peter Le Neve Esqr Norroy King of Arms send Greeting. Whereas Sr Mathew Decker of the City of London Baronet, hath by Letter represented unto the Right Honble Henry Earl of Suffolk and Bindon one of the Lords of His Majestys most Honble Privy Council and Deputy (with the Royal approbation) to His Grace Thomas Duke of Norfolk Earl Marshal and Hereditary Marshal of England That his Father Dirck Decker of the City of Amsterdam who was Son of Cornelius Decker of Haerlem in the Province of Holland, and other his ancestors who were Natives of Flanders (and Retired from thence into Holland on account of their Religion, during the Cruel Persecution of the Duke of Alva Governour of the Spanish Netherlands, in ye time of Queen Elizabeth) having borne and used the Arms and Crest Depicted in the Margin of this Letter, scil't: Argent a Demi-Buck Gules between his four Legs an arrow Erected in Pale Or, and for the Crest on a wreath of his Colours a like demi-Buck and Arrow as aforesaid as the Arms belonging to their Name and Family, which Arms the said Sr Mathew Decker alledgeth that he some years since bro't over with him into England and hath used the same wthout any Interruption Yet in Regard that himself and Family are now setled in this Kingdom (He being made a Free Denizen thereof) the said Sr Mathew Decker was desirous that the aforesaid Arms and Crest as borne by his Ancestors might (with his Lordships Permission) be Assigned and Confirmed unto Him and his Descendents, in the usual form Practiced in England, to the End that the same might for the future be Registered and Recorded among those of the Gentry of the Realm. And whereas the said Earl of Suffolk and Bindon having Considered the Request of the aforesaid Sr Mathew Decker (whom his most Sacred Ma(ges)tie King George hath lately Honoured with the Dignity of a Baronet of great Britain) did by Warrant or Order under his Hand and Seal, bearing date the 30 Day of July last past, Order and appoint Us to assign and Confirm unto the said Sr Mathew Decker and his Descendents the aforesaid Arms and Crest, unless we should see cause to make any alteration or Difference in the same, Know ye therefore that we the said Clarenceux and Norroy in pursuance of the Order and Consent of the said Earl of Suffolk and Bindon signified as aforesaid, and by Virtue of the Letters Patents of Our Offices to each of Us respectively Granted under the great Seal of England have assigned and confirmed, and do by these Presents Assign Allow and Confirm unto the said Sr Mathew Decker the Arms and Crest before Blasoned and expressed and as the same are in the Margin hereof more plainly Depicted, To be borne and used for ever hereafter by him the said Sr Mathew Decker Baronet, and the Heirs and other Descendents of his Body Lawfully begotten and to be begotten, with their due and respective differences according to the usage and Practice of Arms, without the Let or Interruption of auy Person or Persons whatsoever. In Witness whereof we the said Clarenceux and Norroy Kings of Arms have to these presents subscribed Our Names and affixed the Seals of Our respective Offices this Sixth day of August in the Third Year of the Reign of Our Sovereign Lord George, by the Grace of God King of great Britain France and Ireland Defender of the Faith and Annoq(ue D'ni) 1716.
