فارسی: عاشورا (به عربی: عَاشُورَاء) همچنین به روز عاشورا معروف است دهمین روز از ماه محرم در گاهشماری هجری قمری است، برای مسلمانان، عاشورا روزی است که موسی و بنی اسرائیل توسط خداوند از فرعون نجات یافتند و راهی در دریا ایجاد کردند.
Deutsch: Aschura wird der zehnte Tag des Monats Muharram genannt, des ersten Monats im islamischen Kalender. Dieser Tag ist für viele Muslime weltweit bedeutsam.
An diesem Tag gedenken die Schiiten des Todes des für sie dritten Imams Husain in der Schlacht von Kerbela. Er gilt als Märtyrer, dessen Ermordung sowohl für Schiiten und Aleviten als auch generell in der Geschichte des Islams ein besonderes Ereignis bedeutet, dessen sie mit verschiedenen Trauerfeiern gedenken. Husain war der Sohn von Ali ibn Abi Talib (dem ersten Imam der Schiiten und vierten Khalif der Sunniten) und Enkel des Propheten Mohammed.

Português: O dia da Ashura é o décimo dia do Moarrão no calendário islâmico, marcando o clímax da reflexão do Moarrão. É celebrado pelos muçulmanos xiitas como dia do martírio de Huceine ibne Ali, neto do profeta Maomé, na Batalha de Carbala, que aconteceu no 10.º dia do Moarrão do ano 61 do calendário islâmico (2 de outubro de 680).
עברית: מסורות מוסלמיות מספרות כי צום עשוראא הוא הצום הראשון שעליו ציווה מוחמד עוד בטרם נקבע צום רמדאן. הקוראן עצמו קובע: "המאמינים, צוויתם על הצום כשם שצוו אלה שקדמו לכם, למען תהיו יראים" (סורת אל-בקרה, פסוק 183). הביטוי "אלה שקדמו לכם" מתייחס לדעת רוב הפרשנים המוסלמים אל היהודים[1]. |
