English: String pulling without colored stimulus. Footage shows an experienced bumblebee demonstrator worker solving the string task when the blue flower disk has been removed. Released into the arena, the bee flies close to the string several times, but she does not land in front of or on top of the table for 4 min. The bee even tries to go back to the colony a few times. Eventually she lands in front of the left table, pulls the string, and obtains the reward using the technique described in Video S4. |
