comment from talk page: #17 third molar (...) does show pathology. There is little or no bone distal to second molar #18. Had #17 been removed prior to full root development, bone fill would have been complete distal to #18, mandible would have been stronger in this weak area, and #18 would be less susceptible to periodontitis and caries.
