Description
English: This very well received map - the first printed survey map of Finland - was composed by the Swedish cartographer Anders Bureus (1571-1661). The map was published in 1662 in the second volume of Joan Blaeus Atlas Maior. At the time of the publication Finland was a grand duchy of the Swedish Empire. The map was dedicated by Blaeu to the Swedish nobleman Gustav Horn (1592-1657), governor of the south-eastern territories Kexholm en Ingermanland.
