"Executed (according to sitter's dress and hairstyle) about 1800, this, of very good quality miniature portrait of a young French gentleman, depicted in a nocturne park landscape with "Temple of Friendship" strongly resembles miniatures by French, turn of 19th century artist Boudin in the Tansey Collection (see our image nr.8).

Miniaturist Boudin (l- Boudin?) is mentioned by Mme Lemoine-Bouchard as working in France between 1785-1810." [1]
