Summary

[edit]
Description
English:
Floodplain, dam embankment at Letkés-Salka, information board about the bridge on it. Once upon a time, the bridge between the two settlements stood further south of the Jelnleg bridge. The Ipoly flowed under the bridge arch on the Hungarian side of the new bridge, but during river regulation it was diverted under the Slovak bridge arch. In World War II, the bridge was blown up. It was restored between 1952 and 1954, but was banned shortly after. It was opened to traffic in August 1994. Today, three steel-framed bridges provide for crossing the floodplain and river. Magyar:
Ártér védgát töltés rajta tájékoztató tábla /részletek/: A mederegynesítés/szabályozás során jött létre Trianoni-csatorna (Ipoly holtága) ami jelenleg horgászparadicsom. Egykor a két település közötti híd a jelenlegi hídtól délebbre állt. A második világháborúban a hídat felrobbantották.
