Description
English: Men and automobile tire repair truck gathered outside the H. Bender Firestone Tire dealership at 4388 Olive Street. The storefront window advertises, "Vulcanizing and Repairing All Makes of Tires." Automobile manufacturers, repair shops, and dealerships began to open in the city in the early 1900s. By 1908 the City of St. Louis had issued 1,900 automobile licenses.
