Summary[edit]

Description
English: driver´s cab Aveling-Barford steam road roller.
Built 1947 in Grantham, England.

Sold in 1948 to the then Ceylon government and extradited there. Used there for years in road construction. First transported back to England in 1991, then to Germany in 1994, where it underwent a 2-year restoration. The vehicle is fully functional and has been technically approved for road traffic since 1996.
