Description
English: Flint awl, pen shaped in plan and lozenge shaped in profile. On the dorsal side the distal tip has been retouched into an awl point. The right margin is sharp and the left has been retouched. The proximal end is snapped. On the ventral side the right margin has a retouched notch.

The flint is pale grey cream in colour.

Butler (2005) illustrates a similar example on page 169, Fig. 71, No. 2 which is dated to the Neolithic period.
