Description
English: Flint awl, extended gothic in plan and curved rod shape in profile. The dorsal side has a single central mesial ridge. It has unifacial retouch. The distal tip in particular has been worked and the lower right margin has a serrated edge. The ventral side has a worked distal tip and a broken bulb of percussion with emanating conchoidal ripples. The right margin has marked retouch and the left margin has minute retouch.

The flint is faint pink beige toned with light beige inclusions.

Mercer (1981) illustrates a similar example on page 137, Fig. 60, No. L.173 which is dated to the Neolithic period.
