Title
awl
Description
English: A soft hammer struck blade of semi-translucent tan and opaque cream flint . The dorsal ridge has been partly removed by bladelet removals from the platform edge. The oblique left distal margin has been ventrally semi-abruptly retouched. The same is true of the straight right margin. The distal end appears to have snapped in use as an awl or piercer. Butler(2005) illustrates a piercer on page 113, fig 45, 6.
