Summary

[edit]
Description
English:
Micimackó (~Winnie the Pooh) by Mihály Kolodko (2023 bronze statuette). 'The writer Frigyes Karinthy was born in this house on 24 June 1887//Executive Committee of the Metropolitan Council/1967' is welded to the wreath hook of a marble tablet. The bear figure (Winnie the Pooh) holds a honey cup above hishead so that he can extract every last drop of honey. Milne's famous fairytale novel, The Story of Winnie the Pooh and His Friends, was first published in Hungarian in 1935 in Karinthy's translation. Since Karinthy did not speak English, the work was prepared for literary editing by the writer's sister, Emília Karinthy (Mici). Out of respect for his sister, the bear was named Micimackó after his sister's nickname. - 27 Damjanich Street, 7th district of Budapest
Magyar:
Micimackó c. szobor Kolodko Mihály 2023-as alkotása (Felállítás 2023. június 24.)
