Deutsch: B61 Thermonukleare Bombe. Die B61-Atombombe ist für den Transport durch Flugzeuge mit Überschallgeschwindigkeit ausgelegt und seit dem Ende des Kalten Krieges die wichtigste thermonukleare Waffe im US-Bestand. Die Waffe wurde ab 1961 vom Los Alamos National Laboratory in New Mexico entworfen und gebaut und in mehreren Versionen hergestellt.
English: B61 Thermonuclear Bomb. The B61 nuclear bomb is designed for carriage by aircraft at supersonic flight speeds and is the primary thermonuclear weapon in the U.S. stockpile since the end of the Cold War. The weapon was designed and built by the Los Alamos National Laboratory in New Mexico beginning in 1961 and has been produced in several versions.
