English:

An incomplete copper alloy cast, Medieval rounded crotal bell c. mid 13th - late 15th century AD.  The top and bottom halves have been soldered at the waist joint and the suspension loop is a simple flat strip of copper alloy, soldered into a top hole. The lower half has the typical longitudinal cut-out terminated at each end with a large circular hole. The majority of the suspension loop is missing with also a piece of the outer bell wall also missing. The bell has suffered damaged over the years with part of the bottom half being damaged and has become separated. The surface has a smooth dark green patina. No pea remains.
