Description Höfði er einlyft hús með brotnu (mansard) þaki og kjallara. Þar var lengi vel eitt stærsta einbýlishús Reykjavíkur. Það er norskt „katalóghús” jugendstíl, keypt tilsniðið frá Noregi. Þessi stíll var allsráðandi í Evrópu allri á árunum milli 1890-1910. Þetta var nokkurs konar andsvar við vélvæðingu samtímans og áherzla var lögð á náttúruleg form, birtu og ljósa liti. Höfði var friðaður skv. þjóðminjalögum af Reykjavíkurborg árið 1978 en friðunin tekur til ytra byrðis hússins.
