Summary

[edit]
Description
English: This is the second piece from Bach's great unfinished work, The Art of Fugue. The fugues are famously written in open score without any indication of what instrument/s they were meant to be played on, so we assume he was waiting for melodicas and accordions to be invented.

This recording is from the quartet's debut performance on November 20, 2022, at the art studio Persona in Brooklyn.

The Melodica Drone & Bach Quartet is Andrew Yoon (https://andrewyoon.art), Lili Tobias (linktr.ee/lilifae), Lara Lewison, and accordionist Hank Mason (https://hankthemason.com). Learn more about to quartet at https://mdbq.org.
