Notes Associated Organisation- Te No - Technische Nothilfe (TeNo); English- Technical Emergency Corps The Te No was originally instituted as a strike-breaking organisation in 1919. It was reorganised and incorporated within the police after 1933 to 1939 to provide trained technical personnel for emergency work. Members serial number was punched into the back of the badge. Only registered technicians received the enamelled badge. Other members received a stamped metal badge. Only 79,230 enamel badges were issued 1933-1938, a badge had to be returned on the death of a member. Total membership of Te No was c. 200,000.
